I've been meaning to upload this baby for a while and seeing lovedevine's other thread reminded me so cheers

Can't believe it's been over 12 years since I first saw +Live+ back in 1997. This bootleg was recorded at Rod Laver Arena (known back then as simply Melbourne Park) and broadcast by Triple J (can you believe they ever played our dorky lads?).

This is one of the best quality recordings from the Secret Samadhi era and some of these stellar performances were used for as b-sides for future singles.

Well rested from our day off in Surfer's Paradise (none of us surf however, I mean, we're from Pennsylvania) we flew up to Melbourne to play for about 11,000 people. The show was great, the crowds down here continue to blow our minds! We are taping a TV show here tomorrow called "hey, hey it's Saturday". We're going to play "Freaks". I wonder how they're going to censor the "you little **cker" line. Should be interesting. Anyway, off to bed. Peace.

A record breaking night for Live! We played the longest set of our entire career tonight for the 11,000 people who came to see us. A whopping two hours and fifteen minutes! We just didn't feel like stopping. We played Vic Chestnutt's "Supernatural" and the Psychedelic Furs' "Love my Way" along with "Waitress" and "Shit Towne" in the encore. The crowd was very forgiving when I forgot the words to the third of verse of "Supernatural", as well as of our general rustiness on the rest of it. But, hey, it was all in good fun! Thank you, Melbourne. As the accompanying pictures indicate, we had a pretty wild after-show extravaganza. Patrick was spontaneously motivated to wreck the innocent ping-pong table in the dressing room. He suffered no serious injuries but the table, well, it didn't make it. We had a blast all night. Off to Adelaide!
