Anyone else out there a Poker player. Thought it would be interesting to start a thread where people could start discussing different types of poker games, how they run their parties, and strategies they use.

I just played a No-Limit Texas hold'em party last night with some friends. We're trying to make it a monthy or bi-monthly meeting.

(This would be easy without the input of the wives!)

I was thinking about holding the second round at the end of next month and making it a no limit twenty-dollar-buy-in quarters (for chips) game with dealer calls and opportunities to buy back in since every deal is a new game. I'm thinking this could accomidate 7-10 people and keep people playing longer because they're not out after they bust their stack.

I actually just read about Crazy Pineapple Poker last night and it sound's really cool. It's a version of Texas Hold'em except you get three hold cards and you discard one immediately after the flop. From what I've read it completely changes the strategy of the game and I was wondering if anyone actually played it and what they thought.
