LIVE has confirmed more tour dates! On May 9th, LIVE will be performing at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, NV. Tickets for this show go on sale to general public on Saturday (3/21) via Ticketmaster. We were able to set up a Homespun member presale for this show! The presale will begin tomorrow (3/18) at 10 AM PT and will run until Friday (3/20) at 1 PM PT. Homespun members: just log into your homespun online account. Once logged in click on the “Homespun Member Ticketing Page” link. This will take you to the secure page where you can purchase tickets. If you are not a member of Homespun, LIVE’s official fan club, then you will need to purchase a membership in our online store to participate in the presale. Once the membership is processed you will automatically receive your login information via email.

LIVE will also be performing at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA on May 10th. Tickets for this show also go on sale to general public on Saturday (3/21) via Ticketmaster. We are trying to get a Homespun member presale set up for this show also. If we are able to get one set up in time we will let everyone know.

Ok here's my attempt at a review...at nearly 2:30 AM!! Bear with me...

My husband, Joe, and I left San Diego around 4:00 to head north to the House of Blues in Anaheim. Having not been there before, we didn't realize that you could get an early entry if you ate/bought something in their gift shop, but we lucked out because we checked in with the ticket booth when we arrived (6:00ish) for some info and the girl there clued us in. Of course (our luck!) we had already eaten, so 2 HOB t-shirts later for the hubby and we had a receipt to gain an early entry. WOW, we were SO glad we did...I was about the 10th person in the door and we got a spot right in the middle on the rail. One of the HOB employees told Joe that the concert was a sell-out (quoted 1100 people)!

Carney opened for LIVE and they sounded really good. Saw them once last year and thought they were better this time around. Played for about 30 minutes (4 songs?) and it was a nice warm up for what was to come.

Between sets, I thought, "Hmmm, this girl next to me looks familiar" and it turned out to be Kerrie! I'm SO glad I said something...we could've been jumping around, singing our hearts out right next to each other and never known! Anyway, it was awesome to see her...and to jump around together, singing our hearts out!!! LOL My husband is a fan of the band, but he is definitely more of the mellow listener! I love how this board can connect people from all over the world...looking forward to seeing you again next month in SD, Kerrie!

Here's the setlist - I'm pretty sure I got them all, but forgive me if any of the songs are out of order...I'm beat!

Purifier
Gas Hed Goes West
Top
Forever
Selling the Drama
The Distance
Sofia
Hold Me Up
The Dolphin's Cry
Lakini's Juice
Turn My Head
I Alone
Heaven
Lightning Crashes
---
Blowin' in the Wind (Ed solo)
All Over You
Believe
Pain Lies on the Riverside
White, Discussion

As mentioned earlier, Chris Daughtry joined the guys on stage part way through "I Alone" and it was AWESOME!!! Even though he's a big star now and he & Ed are friends, you still get the feeling that it's a treat for him to be up there singing with his fave band. I know it certainly was a treat for us! It was so great to hear "Hold me up" and "Believe" really is a ROCK song...everything it's been described as...I'd agree, along the same vein as "Purifier". I loved it!

Other notes...I thought the sound was amazing! I know there were issues at Reno, but none tonight. They couldn't get the "shaker" fixed at first for PLOTR, but they figured it out. Crowd was enthusiastic...of course some too much so after a few cocktails, as it seems to always be at a GA show. You know, a few people trying to move up front last minute and being, let's say, less than friendly about it. Luckily, there were no major incidents. Ed's wife & daughters were there tonite - nice for him to have them there on Mother's Day.

Finally, I have to say that I think this was the most "smiley" I've ever seen Ed...or should I say Eddie, because I think he is more that persona than the Ed we're used to seeing. He was quite talkative and made some cute jokes...even mentioned he's on Twitter. I don't know, maybe less intense is a better way to put it...whatever, I really liked the way he presented himself.

Overall, it was one of THE best LIVE shows I have ever been to, certainly the best in recent memory. Hope everyone else there had as much fun as we did. Can't wait for next month's show in SD!
Good-nite!!!

They've really improved the setlist. The only song that's left from the SFBM era is Sofia, and I really like that song! Even Wings and The River are gone?! banana.gif

PLOTRS is also quite rare, but maybe it's back for good. Still ending with W,D, awesome. And ofcourse Top, GHGW, Hold Me up, Purifier, etc. Finally they arent' focussing only on a greatest-hits public. Sure, they hold many hits in the setlist, but the setlist is really starting to get more alternative. Goodddd! cool.gif
