LIVE has confirmed more tour dates! On May 9th, LIVE will be performing at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, NV. Tickets for this show go on sale to general public on Saturday (3/21) via Ticketmaster. We were able to set up a Homespun member presale for this show! The presale will begin tomorrow (3/18) at 10 AM PT and will run until Friday (3/20) at 1 PM PT. Homespun members: just log into your homespun online account. Once logged in click on the “Homespun Member Ticketing Page” link. This will take you to the secure page where you can purchase tickets. If you are not a member of Homespun, LIVE’s official fan club, then you will need to purchase a membership in our online store to participate in the presale. Once the membership is processed you will automatically receive your login information via email.

LIVE will also be performing at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA on May 10th. Tickets for this show also go on sale to general public on Saturday (3/21) via Ticketmaster. We are trying to get a Homespun member presale set up for this show also. If we are able to get one set up in time we will let everyone know.

Tickets on Sale March 21st

Sweet! can't wait. I was just listening to TC all the way through which haven't done in a little while (usually have my IPOD on shuffle while driving or working) I was just reminded what a completely awesome album is. I hadn't heard Iris in sometime, what a rockin song! where can I find the complete lyrics to it ? I looked it up on "friends of live" and their version on there seems a little short. Other lyric websites had all kinds of different lyrics?

Glad to here the Band is coming to the southland!

...and the armies, the armies I have created... thumbsup.gif

[Live survives without record-label help

Like other alternative rock survivors, the band Live puts out its own records instead of relying on major labels. The group’s latest, “Live at the Paradiso Amsterdam,” is a CD/DVD combo of a recent concert. Live will perform May 9 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino.

"The band is playing better than ever. The timing captured the band at a great moment in our career,” said singer Ed Kowalczyk in the band’s biography for “Paradiso.”

Since forming in 1985, Live has sold more than 20 million CDs worldwide. Its first album, 1991’s “Mental Jewelry,” had two MTV hits in “Operation Spirit” and “Pain Lies on the Riverside.”

Its second album, “Throwing Copper” in 1994, was the band’s breakthrough, selling 8 million copies and spawning three hits, “I Alone,” “Selling the Drama” and “Lightning Crashes.” That last song, which covers the cycle from birth to death, has endured on rock radio, and Kowalczyk said in his biography it has new meaning for him.

“As soon as I had my first baby about six years ago, I feel it’s even more important to me now because I’ve been there,” he said. “This song now means something totally deeper to me. That’s what I love about doing this for a living, if you get a good song, you really grow with them and they grow with you. They have their own kind of life and interact with you over the years.”

After “Copper,” the band had two more platinum albums, “Secret Samadhi” and “The Distance To Here,” and it scored radio hits such as “Lakini’s Juice” and “The Dolphin’s Cry.” The band continued to tour and release albums with the same lineup that exists today: Kowalczyk, guitarist Chad Taylor, bassist Patrick Dahlheimer and drummer Chad Gracey.

Along with the live version of its hits, “Paradiso” includes two new studio songs, including the single “Forever.” Kowalczyk said “Forever” is about faith and loyalty.
“I was just wanting to do a song that has that message of holding on,” he said. “All these things move in seasons that feel kind of barren. But you find yourself after that period, coming into a reaping period.”
