Is “Take me up to Zion” played at Tin Angel a new song? If so, any feedback from those who listened to it?

Ed needs to start writing about things that most people can actually understand or relate to. Why doesn't Live get better press and airplay? Because Ed writes multiple songs that include Zion . Most people don't relate to Zion or even know what Zionism is.

I don't understand why Ed can't write about things that real people can relate to like telling a story of someone who just lost their job and how it affects them. Instead we repeatedly get "plastic little places" and "water" this and that. What happened to the songs like Shit Towne and Waitress that talked about people and experience?

It's about time Ed grew as an artist and a lyricist.

Look at what's going on in the world around you and write about it and reflect on it. Those are the songs that relate to people and leave a lasting impression. That's what brilliant lyricists like Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Bruce Springsteen (to just name three) did and that's why their music lasts!

music lasts!


Forever is a song that many people can relate to. The darker the night, the brighter the dawn is a really strong lyric in my opinion. Everyone goes through hard times, and Forever is the type of uplifting song that many people can aspire to.

I don't expect Live to get particuarly strong airplay with their new album, especially if they are with Vanguard. There are other ways to promote your music, and Vanguard has done a great job with Live so far.

As long as the music is good, I'll be happy.

Which is what really counts, after all is said and done. To hell with mass popularity and the charts (unless of course if that's what the band is after first and foremost).
