Is “Take me up to Zion” played at Tin Angel a new song? If so, any feedback from those who listened to it?

I'd say it's an "experimented songwriter" effort. Not good/not bad, just applying the basics.
To me, it lacks of soul.

Well, I disagree. Applying the basics is what fans have been waiting for since TDTH - it seems that the time has come. It is a Live classic ala T.B.D., the cover Supernatural and perhaps Ghost. It is closer to TBD though. It is Live's best since The Dolphin’s Cry and it is better than Purifier.

What the hell are you talking about? People here jump all over new songs like hoes on crack. Are you claiming that this is going to be the next singe? If you are you're trippin and if you're not I don't know what the fuck you mean.

This is an alright song. It sounds nice, could be released help fill and album, might have a few people who really dig it, but it's not a smash hit. What potential are you referring to?

My guess would be that it's a website exclusive at eddieklive.com. There's no way any respectable artist would release a song with a line in the first verse "take me up to Zion", and then turn around and put the exact same line in the next song he writes (and maybe even call it that). Middle school garage bands wouldn't even do that.

In fact the redundancy in the lyrics pisses me off as a consumer and scares me as a fan. I'm hoping this is only a acoustic solo release! Other than that I love it.

Its' way too early to even think about the band's next single, but I feel this song has potential to be a really cool song on the new CD. We have to give the band time to create the new album before passing judgment on it.

I am a big fan of Forever and Purifier and really feel the band is heading in the right direction for album #8. The potential of songs like Zion and possibly a reworked Hold Me Up have fans buzzing more so than they have in quite some time. Not only that, but reworked setlists showed that the band is listening to their fans and trying to give their concerts more bang for the buck. The band are really trying to get this new album done right, and I'm excited to see where it all leads.
