Here's part of the new album talk:

With two new songs on the live Live album, you know there’s something coming up. What’s the latest in terms of a new studio album?

Those two songs are really brand new. Couldn’t be more brand new. We just did them a month and a half ago. Recorded them and mixed them. They were hot off the presses. That’s really the direction sonically and songwriting lyrically where I’m at. That’s the direction we’re headed in. I think my message to the fans would be expect more ‘Forever’ and ‘Purifier.’ Also, next year, later next year, hopefully.

Was this something where you couldn’t wait to get these out to fans or will they appear on an upcoming album too?

No. These will just be on this. This is the direction of the band and where we’re headed. The kind of songs that are coming, the kind of feel that’s coming. A sign post. They won’t be on the next record. I’m hoping to record some new ones next year and get them out next year.

Good interview. I still don't think we'll get an album in 2009. Just a hunch.
