I figured we'd consolidate this mini-tour into one topic.

March 26, 2009 - Sayreville, NJ (Starland Ballroom)
www.starlandballroom.com

March 27, 2009 - Boston, MA (House of Blues)
http://www.hob.com/apps/search/index.asp?q=boston

March 28, 2009 - Atlantic City, NJ (House of Blues)
http://www.hob.com/apps/search/index.asp?q=atlantic+city

Tickets are on sale now for all shows and if anyone wants promo flyers for the dates, please contact me on this board. Thanks!

Ooops. I guess I should have read the previous posts about the 2 bands playing before +Live+ , Should be a GREAT show. Saw the pics of the new HOB Boston- looks like all seats have good view.

Anyone looking for one or two tickets to the AC show on Saturday? I'm not feeling so well, so I don't think I'll be able to make the drive. :-( It's been so long since I've seen the guys, too - over 2 years. Oh well, maybe next time.
Anyone interested in the tickets? Please email me at edsiris@aol.com
Thanks,
Christine

3/26/09 Starland Ballroom Review:

Setlist

Purifer (Nice opener)
Gas Hed Goes West
Forever
Top
Selling the Drama
The Distance
Hold Me Up (It was difficult to hear Ed during the first two chorus', but the last chorus was great)The Dolphin's Cry
Lakini's Juice
Turn My Head
I Alone (Ed played guitar for the first half, and sang the whole song. Very Awesome!)
Heaven
Lightning Crashes

Encore
Blowing in the Wind(dylan) Ed solo
All Over You
Run to the Water
White, Discussion

Quick Notes

-Chad and Pat have now switched sides

-The crowd was pretty quiet during the first half(obscure songs), but came to life big time for the second half of the show. Ed's shirt stayed on.

- The place was beyond packed again. If that place wasn't sold out, God Help Us All!

-Starland sells glass beer bottles, an accident waiting to happen.

-No mention of DVD, but Ed was happy that one of his songs got into a porno movie.

-Great show, and with practice the new songs should fit in nicely. Bring on AC!

Live came on at 9:30 and played to 11. I arrived at the venue at 9:10 and missed the opening acts.

I was at this show too and loved it. Extremely surprised to hear them alter the set with songs like Gas Hed and Top.............christ, Gas Hed is one of my all-time favorite Live tunes. Purifier was a cool opener. And of course WD was a great close. I'm fired up and can't wait to get to AC. I wouldn't mind if they played the exact same set in fact.....one or two additional surprises would be nice, but the same set wouldn't bother me at all (not every day I say that).

Ed took the time to give a girl in the front props on this being her 400th Live show! That is hard to comprehend. I thought I was devoted - last nite was number 52- but I seem like a freaking amateur compared to this chic. Anyone know who she is and if she posts on this board? I'd love to hear about her experiences and how she went about getting to such a staggering number.

FYI ON SET TIMES / OPENERS: IMO, Bear Hands is damn good and worth checking out. Not comparable to Live at all, buy I dug their sound. Have a bit of a Modest Mouse thing going on. I missed the band that opened the show, and Bear Hands came on second and started around 8:30ish I think (a little fuzzy on the time). It wasn't a long set, but really solid. Live started about 9:25-9:30, and played til a few minutes after 11.

Oh, so it's up to 400 now? rolleyes.gif

Amazing how they rack up SO fast...if you all believe that, I have a bridge to sell you!!

Anyhow - this is all GREAT news. I am happy to hear it. Interesting spot for Gas Hed to be played, no? Kinda more of an end of show bust out...but I will DEFINITELY be seeing them again this summer, for sure! thumbsup.gif
