We're at the end of februari, the spring is coming, and Live's anounced new album is coming closer. With the first Live gigs of 2009 not too far away, we can start a thread about it, I think.

I don't get the make or break talk. You either like the bands body of work or you don't. If you lose love for them thats fine, but it's not simply over one album. Perhaps your tastes have change or you sinply don't care for the style of the band. You can talk direction all you want but they are what they are.

If I went with make or break for the Detroit Lions I would have broken a long time ago. They're always going to be my team (rain or shine) and Live is always going to be my band.

I love a lot of the Live library and the songs I love never get old. I enjoy the studio tracks and the various concerts I've accumulated over the years. If I get tired of the band I give it a break for a while but I always end up listening again.

If the new album completely sucks I'll still listen to the stuff I love and see them every summer when they come around as long as they do. They're my favorite band and they'll put on a good show.

Side Note - When V came out I was thinking "What the fuck, this blows". Honestly, in my personal opinion, one of the worst albums I have ever purchased. I hung around and bought every following album the day it was released without regard and will continue to do so hoping for the best and to be pleasently suprised.

People here may think otherwise but I actually like the 4 newest releases. I'm also glad SFBM came out because it gave me The River and Love Shines. I don't care what you think, those are some of my favorite Live songs and I listen to them a lot. I'm just greatful that my favorite band has been around this long and continues to tour and make music. With the effect they've had on my life I don't think they owe me anything, I see it the other way around.
