Love Buckley - I think all the compilation CD's and rarity discs released recently are mostly a money grab, so I don't have them. I mean he doesn't get anything for it.

I think he was a great songwriter, my only criticism would be of the sometimes obtuse arrangements he would create - I guess some might see that as a strength. but thats me.

All in all i really enjoy his music.

Totally agree. Haven't bought anything after Sketches as I refuse to line the pockets of Sony and Mary Guibert. I certainly didn't get involved in that inane UK X Factor battle of who's version of Halleleujah is best (Lucky Jim's, by the way, but he wasn't in the running). The constant dead rock star pushing and money grabbing of Jeff Buckley's legacy nowadays is really distasteful. The sad thing is he'd hate it if he knew and it's his own mother doing it.

You know what, I'd far rather be giving my money to artists recording stuff now and who I think deserve my money more than the lets get rich by using Jeff Buckley's name commercial leeches. That's a more fitting legacy to him than another regurgitated CD of songs off Grace, bits off Sketches and other stuff he didn't think fit to release in his lifetime and would never have seen the light of day had he been alive.
