OK - You've asked for it!

The board is terribly boring... please Hoodie, make a random poll thread or something. I am not even kidding, this board really blows about now.

Now that we've had time to digest Radiant Sea and Live at the Paradiso I'd like to ask which album has the better live tracks. Obviously Live at the Paradiso has more, but if you were to listen to songs individually which one would you be more likely to pull from?

It isn't even close for me. Live at the Paradiso hasn't left my CD player since November 11th. It gives you an actual concert experience.

I never listen to Radiant Sea outside of the two new tracks.

What the fuck are you talking about. It's not even close to a concert experience! The tracks are reordered, half of the concert is missing, and all of the songs are faded in and out to blend the chopping.

It's RS from one show!

Live from the Paradiso flows much better than Radiant Sea does, and for me, it really captures the concert experience you get at a live show. The audience also is very intense and you can feel the band feeding off of it. Its just a great CD.

The "Den Haag" and "Gruenspan" shows are different. The first one is in Holland and the second one is in Germany.

You guys are mislead. The Paradiso album is not a concert album, it is a compilation from 2 completely separate shows mixed up and reordered. I wish it were a concert CD.

It says right on the inside of the album book (right above Pat's head) "Recorded on June 30th and July 1st at the Paradiso in Amsterdam." Same venue - different shows mixed into one. I don't see how a common venue makes this any different than RS except for the fact they tried to fool you with mixing..

Bottom Line - both albums are cool.

Common tracks

I Alone - Better version on Radiant Sea
Lakini's Juice - Better version on Radiant Sea
The Dolphin's Cry - Better version on Radiant Sea

The concert was filmed from the July 1st show. I still stand by my opinion that Live at the Paradiso has a much better flow than Radiant Sea.
