It's too bad that it took a need for me to chime in on this thread to finally get me to register for my favorite band's message board. shrug.gif

I read that Chris did indeed mention Live in his pre-interview, but the producers of Idol cut that part, so it appeared as if he took the credit for originality. For the record, I hate Idol but Chris caught my attention when I read on this board that Live was his favorite band. I did a little research on the dude, and for any of you who doubt his originality, check out his music at his band's website. I've actually really gotten into their music, and it gives me a little of what has been missing from Live lately.

I just saw this posted on the AI message boards, supposedly an article from Epic.

Now this is what I call PROMOTION!!!!

Live Idols Live

.
(Epic) Live is excited to announce U.S.tour dates this spring in support of their seventh studio album Songs From Black Mountain out May 9th on Epic Records. Kicking off the tour in Providence, RI on April 22nd, the 18 city tour will take them across the country until the end of May.
With the recent controversy swirling around American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry's strikingly similar rendition of Live's 2001 cover of the Johnny Cash favorite, "I Walk The Line," lead singer Ed Kowalczyk has nothing but praise for the American Idol fan favorite. "We wish Chris the best of luck in the competition! I thought he did a great job with the song. There's no doubt he's a talented performer and I hope he goes far," says Kowalczyk.
