Someone at SOY had the cocksucking post of the year the other day. I copied it below. So money.


I've heard Purifier. Just one listen, before I get my cd next week. I couldn't resist.

I don't think that Live has made a studio recording with that much raw energy, rock and roll freedom and passion, creative expression, and raw, unhinged production since TDTH, and perhaps even SS. I might have to look as far back as Lakini's Juice to find something with a comparable "feel" to it. There was certainly nothing off of V, BoP or SFBM that even come close to the sound of this song.

I don't like the multiple layered vocal tracks. I really wish it would have just been Ed's voice belting out the lyrics.

I found that I liked the end of the song better than the begining, and I don't know if that's because with one listen, I just started to get it after I listened to it for a while, or whether the end is different than the beginning. I'll know more after I get my cd and listen to this song to death.

I really like the guitar and harmonica melody that repeats through the song. It really rocks and stays with you after you hear the song.

I like the way the end of the song trails off with crazy, loose guitar riffs. Very Chad Taylor. Again, it sounds like no other Live song has sounded since TDTH and TC. It reminded me a little of the end of White Discussion and Lakini's Juice.

Patrick is playing bass. Thank you. We've got Patrick, we've got Patrick (to understand my tone - think Booger in Revenge of the Nerds in the girl's shower scene).

I said it once and I will say it again, Forever and Purifier are the high water mark over the last 8 years for this band. Brilliant stuff.

Whatever chemistry the band used to put these songs together should be the formula for future studio projects. This is the recipe.

Eh... Ex isn't gay. Stick to making fun of the Right though. I would love to see the day when all religious people are treated like the loonies they are. The more we make fun of the Right's association to them the faster they change to becoming a party that focuses less on morals and more on economics. Ron Paul was going in the correct direction...
