I was contacted by mail by a completely stranger yesterday, that asked for the song Lift me Up by the band "LIVE". He was at the press-screening of the movie 'Zack and Mirri...' in the US, and said he heard a song in it, that turned out to be by the a band called LIVE. He knew I had the song, because I once commented on the song on youtube, a long time ago. He searched all the albums of the band, but couldn't find it. He really liked the song (when he heard it during the movie "instantly leaveing me in "awe"," according to his mail), so I guess it's positive that non-Live fans, that aren't familiar with the band, notice an unknown song, appearently like it and trying to get it!

I hope that it gives Live a little extra promotion when other people will also like the song. It would even be possible, now the DVD release is near, it would stimulate the sales of their DVD a little, little bit, but that's just wishfull thinking.

Has anyone else here seen the movie, btw?

Got back from the movie a few hours ago with my girl. Nice to hear more of the song than the Mallrats deleted scenes had to offer. I can confirm (for those who have not seen the movie yet) that the recording is the very same recording that we've had forever, but obviously in its full studio crisp and clear brilliance. It just really sucks that we won't get it on the soundtrack.

P.S. - Oh yeah...and it sucks to learn that the licensed title of the song is in fact "Hold Me Up". I've called this song "Lift Me Up" since 1994, as have many fans. Hold Me Up......I'm going to have to get used to that. But then, I did the same when Dealing Dreams became We Deal in Dreams.
