I was contacted by mail by a completely stranger yesterday, that asked for the song Lift me Up by the band "LIVE". He was at the press-screening of the movie 'Zack and Mirri...' in the US, and said he heard a song in it, that turned out to be by the a band called LIVE. He knew I had the song, because I once commented on the song on youtube, a long time ago. He searched all the albums of the band, but couldn't find it. He really liked the song (when he heard it during the movie "instantly leaveing me in "awe"," according to his mail), so I guess it's positive that non-Live fans, that aren't familiar with the band, notice an unknown song, appearently like it and trying to get it!

I hope that it gives Live a little extra promotion when other people will also like the song. It would even be possible, now the DVD release is near, it would stimulate the sales of their DVD a little, little bit, but that's just wishfull thinking.

Has anyone else here seen the movie, btw?

I just saw it. I didn't like the movie, it was obnoxious and not funny at all. I wasn't offended by anything, it just felt like a bunch of high school morons putting on a play about making a porno. rolleyes.gif I don't think I laughed once. It was typical high school comedy.

Anyway, about half way through, the song is played. I looked at my watch when it started playing to see how long it was. They play the first line of the first verse, then immediately cut into the chorus. It was pretty loud but not much bass to it. After the chorus, it just cuts.. 50 seconds. A little dialogue, about 30 seconds worth, then back to the bridge of the song. During the bridge, there's that pause, then continues on to the chorus again and to the end of the song. It was basically less than 2 minutes of music. It sounded alright, although I wasn't that impressed. If it had been used in another movie, a blockbuster movie, in the right scene, it would've been so much better, and would've gotten the attention it deserves.
