his voice sounds like shit. no offense. it occasionally is reminiscent off ed's old voice, but mostly sounds washed out and fucked up. for the new album, should ed use autotune to make it sound better?

There may be someone here who could give a better technical explanation (and is sober when they write it). smile.gif I've just edited stuff with it, not sure exactly how it works.

I do not know of a website with examples though I imagine one is out there. I can, maybe sometime this weekend, try and upload some mp3's of one or two songs we used it on. The before and after on them, as I'd imagine with Live's music, isn't a very extreme difference at all and only used in very certain sections. I would imagine it's most often used in the parts of songs where there is less happening because the vocals are a lot more obvious. Let's face it, unless you have perfect pitch the note will rarely be just right.

Oh and, you can use auto-tune on pretty much anything. Trombone, cello, etc.. The things that can be done in pro tools are crazy, but really have raised the standard of music production to, IMHO, uncomfortable standards.
