his voice sounds like shit. no offense. it occasionally is reminiscent off ed's old voice, but mostly sounds washed out and fucked up. for the new album, should ed use autotune to make it sound better?

Hate to break it to ya, but I'd be very, very surprised if the band hasn't been using auto tune for years. It is extremely common and is an accepted part of modern music production. It doesn't effect the sound (or tone) of the voice at all, just the notes being sung. I have even played a few regional (500 capacity) venues who have auto tune built into the soundboard for all acts, local and up.
