Yeah I hear "Love will be gone" as well. I'm not sure how well it fits though, because he also says that "I'll stay with you to the end of the storm", which to me means that he will love her no matter what.

In the bridge I hear: "With vengeance AND spite IN their eyes"

I really like the over all feel of this song. The lyrics are really nice. It seems like a really personal song.

And as always a really good bridge too. I've always found that to be one of Ed's biggest strengths song writing wise.
