All the bands performed well but Live was easily the best band of the night.

I give them props - Collective Soul was much better than last time. I just don't get though why the lead singer has to insult the audience when they are not into the performance. "Hello, hello, hello, wake the fuck up this is a rock and roll show." You are the opening band, it's only 6:30, nobody is drinking yet, and half of the crowd hasn't walked into the venue. Just shut up and rock.

Blues Traveler did their thing and sounded great. I was really happy when they closed with my favorite song of theirs, Carolina Blues. Their performance was seriously making me fall asleep but that's because I'm just not really into the whole jam band thing. They did their thing well.

This was one of the better performances I've seen in recent years. Live really was on and rocked right from the gates with Simple Creed. I think it's their best opener. I thought the megaphone on Lakini's Juice was a great addition and the Ramble On teaser was definately unexpected and totally awesome. I was also happy to hear Turn My Head back on the setlist even though Ed said it was for the ladies, awesome song.

During the show I sat next to dolphinscry56 from the fol message board. She was very cool.

I ended up lucking into some backstage passes and met the band after the show. It was awesome and the guys were great. A guy brought out a meat and cheese plate and they pass out Corona's before the band members came out.

Taylor made a quick round with the fans and retired to the bus. He said that they had been out celebrating Gracey's birthday the day before and he was beat. I also asked Adam about any new solo stuff and he said to check out the track on his myspace page. He said he usually works on stuff in his hotel room.

I spoke to Pat about possible songs to add to the setlist and he said they were kicking around a few ideas to change it up in the future. I asked specifically about adding Beautiful Invisible to the show and he said they aren't really rehearsing right now.

I talked to Ed and he said that they're aiming at releasing the CD/DVD combo on October 31st. He also said they're trying to work some new songs into the CD. I asked about New City and all he would say is that it was a TDTH outtake.

The guy's were really cool and it was a ton of fun meeting them.

Halloween's on a Friday this year, so it probably won't work since these things are usually released on Monday(international) or Tuesday (US). I guess he meant it would be released by that date, or he's just a huge Halloween fan?
