To anybody on Facebook: last year I created an FOL group which now has over 1,000 members, making it the largest and fastest-growing LIVE-related group on the website. I updated it every once in a while, but the tour dates weren't always completely up to date and I didn't really post much news-related content. That's all changing.

I really have nothing better to do, so I just gave the group a bit of a facelift and then sent a mass email out to the group. The mass email got peoples' attention because there have already been a few wall posts in the last hour or so along with discussion threads.

I also removed the static list of tour dates from the Recent News section and created an event for each show--the members can now actually join the specific concert they're attending, which is great for networking and meeting up with other fans in your area who are attending the show.

There are a couple other LIVE groups on the site that don't have the same numbers or support that mine has and I'd like to knock them out of the equation, making mine the one-stop shop for the band on Facebook. So, anybody who cares to join who hasn't already, please go ahead and join. Don't forget to share the group with your friends, too!

And dangum, feel free to add the group to the links section of the site. I've already emailed Michelle at FOL.com about doing the same over there.
