I haven't had to think about Father's Day in 15 years. Every Father's Day gift I ever gave my dad was something I made in school, or some beer related thing when I was older. But now I'm sort of an adult & get to have a real Father's Day! And it's next week! What do I do???

Suggestions!!! Please!!!

My dad owns every possible thing they could put a Harley Davidson logo on. He likes to play pool - and has everything he could ever need for that. He likes music - and has every cd you could ever imagine. My late uncle owned a recording studio so Dad now has any piece of musical equipment you could think of. It's like if someone wanted to get us a birthday present & only knew we liked Live - but we already have everything.

edit to provide a little background ... my dad & I haven't talked or seen each other in 12 years. We reconnected about 2 months ago. I want this to be a killer Father's Day.

Janice...that sounds like my mother-in-law. Whatever she wants, she buys. It's so hard to shop for her. So, for her birthday every year, we take her to a really nice restaurant. Every year it's a different place and every year it seems to be nicer. Since we don't get her a gift, we splurge a bit. Her birthday is in April and we never do it around her birthday. It just seems to happen whenever we can get together. I think we're doing next Sunday or the following one. We picked the place, we just have to make the reservations still. smile.gif Could you do that for your dad? Take him to a really nice restaurant...some father/daughter time over dinner??? Every year make it a different place or pick your favorite place and make it a new Father's Day tradition to go there each year. happy.gif
