So many people are starting to notice it was not LIVE's version, from About.com's news section:

and from USA Today:

Ah yes, another music critic who clearly has never had a music lesson in his life. The writing of the version was note for note the same as Live's. Also, better than the Live performance? Did this guy hear Chris struggle to hit the low notes on the opening verse (The part that is down the octave)? What a jack-ass.

As for the possibility of credit being cut from pre-performance interviews, I can imagine that happening. It would be a shame, because there were enough people irritated over the situation.

Finally, these damn judges. I watch the show every week. My wife teaches vocal ped. at a university, and we kind of do vocal analysis on the contestants. It's interesting to see who has had good training and who has not. They could not have found three people with more awful ears than these three. Simon is a genius when it comes to marketing and image, but doesn't know that much about the technical side of music. Paula is a blabbering idiot who sold albums because of her dancing in her music videos, not her voice. I'm pretty sure Randy is retarded... Make a note of how, whenever a singer is flat, he will consistently tell them they are sharp. Live TV can change pitch slightly, but not entire half steps. The orchestra also provides a guidline for pitch. So, anyone who is surprised that the judges did not catch that it was the Live version...
