Eh here we go with the country wars. I think one of the biggest social problems with America is our overbearing law enforcement and the subsequent fear that it causes. It's amazing the kinds of mind games the government plays on us. Cops are routinely allowed to shoot people, tazer people (I'm proud to say I was a first hand witness to "don't taze me bro!") and just generally fuck with people because god forbid we take away any of their authority. TSA agents can strip you down and kick you off a plane for having a water bottle with 4 ounces of water in it. It's fucked up and most Americans are too busy eating ice cream and abusing prescription drugs in front of a TV to realize it.

However, America is still a decent place. For me at least, I could never live in Canada because of the horrible weather. I really enjoy having it never go below 40 degrees where I live. Our higher education system dominates the world, even if half the people at good universities these days are Asian. There's plenty more to mention, and there's plenty to rip on Canada for also. Leave it at that?
