By discussing many songs in many threads on this forum lately, much of Live's work is known for us (in terms of when it was recorded). Album tracks are mostly just recorded in the period they spent recording that album. Some outtakes are a lill more difficult to judge.

Some of the most recent discoveries of origins of Live songs are BI and RS: they turned out to be b-sides?

I have a new question: We Deal In Dreams.
Before 2004 it was known by fans as Dealin' Dreams. It is said to be a TC outtake (you can hear the basic version of the song on the old TC alternate tape). But I remember reading about the song at the end of 2004, with the release of Awake (don't know where I read it, I think someone from the Dutch fanclub wrote it), and read it was re-recorded? When I first heard We Deal in Dreams in okt.2004, I must say (compared to ' Dealin' Dreams), I thought it sounded much more like a recent recording than most of the tracks on TC. Does anybody that had a connection with universal or Radioactive around that time, can confirm it was re-recorded to release. Or was it already made in this awesome quality in 1994? (if so, it would be strange that nobody knew this... just like nobody ever heard of BI and RS before...)

ohw and Hoodstock, I agree with you: it's kinda strange they never used these songs as album tracks
- maybe they don't fit between those songs (any thoughts?) I think BI would, and RS doesn't (more TDTHish), although I think RS is better.
- or maybe the 2 songs didn't sound like these versions by than... and have been remixed, or finished after V?

I think they should have been released on an album. If they were outtakes for V they don't fit with the album (which in my opinion is a good thing because I don't care for it at all) which is probably why they were held back.

I actually think they might have been planning to release them as the holiday gift but since there was a lot of expectation from their core fan base for new material (which I'm sure they're at least aware of) they put together Radiant Sea and added these songs.

I really think this theory is true because they gave it to homespun members for free (plus shipping) and they didn't offer music for the holiday gift this time.
