Here we go...

I didn't call you a fanboy. I said that particular line was ultimate fan-boy material.

I didn't miss the point of the thread at all. I replied to something you posted. I responded. What else can you expect from a forum? Besides, I can't 'analyze' this compilation, becuase I don't own it.

You can feel free to choose this as your favourite album. You can't, however, claim it's their best. That's the key point that I've been making. You keep claiming your opinions are facts.

Like...

'They haven't released a better album to listen to'

or

'The versions released by Live on this album are way better than most of the studio versions.'

I did call this a shitty compilation, yes, and I probably should have been clearer in what I meant by this. The songs and recordings themselves are ok. I haven't heard any of them recently so I can't make any claim about the recording quality. Obviously we know the songs, and it's a reasonable tracklist.

But in terms of quality... I really don't think this is something which has had much effort put in to it. They're random bootlegs, all from different sources, mixed at different times by different people. The artwork and fact that it's primarily a download are obvious indications that this isn't a serious album.

I didn't call you part of the iPod age. I'm in no position to claim anything of the sort; I only know you from a selction of posts on the internet, which lets face it, are just words. It's very easy to misinterpret or read what you want from it. Which you've just indicated, actually.

Another part of your post I find interesting:

'Live is fully capable of writing an "album" of songs and recording it live. That would be a huge improvment over writing an "album" and recording the exact same songs in a studio because they sound way better in concert.'

Again, claiming things without reasonable back-up. I'm a sound engineer; obviously I know more than the average person about these things. I don't want to get in to a debate about what you think would sound better, production wise,n from a Live album, but I'm certainly glad you're not in a position to make any decisions about such things.

'You must be stupid to misunderstand that point. An album does not have to be recorded in a studio setting idiot.'

OK, now you're just mindlessly insulting me. Pretty juvenile...
