One week before the show Feldspar PMed me with the news of the show. He was to be in Denver on business and I flew out from Portland Oregon.

He lived in Boulder years ago and gave me a tour. I am familiar with Denver but had never been to Boulder. What a treat to visit the legendary home of UC. We walked around a bit and saw The Onion, a great parody newspaper.

As we had drinks in an ancienct college bar he checked Craig's List for tickets and found some at a heafty price. We were prepared but thought it best to see if anyone was outside with extras.

We found the band on the sidewalk. I gave Marcel the percussionist a hug and thanked him for the NYE show. We mentioned that we didn't have tickets so he put us on the VIP list. WooHoo!

The Fox was tiny, holding only 700 fans. We got a great spot on the righthand rail very close to the stage. When they started singing Cedric was leaning into the audience as they reached up to him with complete excitement. It was the most powerful musical moment I have ever witnessed. The show started with a big bang!

In the midst of a lengthy jam Cedric came over to say hi to a lady in a wheelchair near us, then got up on the rail. I reached through a tangle of hairy sweaty arms and touched his heart as Feldspar grabbed his arm. The Love of God flowed through his angel into my soul. I've never felt anything as wonderful in all my years. I've been spreading the passion around to all I see. There's plenty.

Holy Crap! I touched a rock god in the middle of a performance. I am truly blessed as are we all.

Praise Be!

Navarro up until 96 or so > John Frusciante.

(In RHCP I mean. I don't know much of Johns solo work)

Sounds awesome Grizz. What do you think of the new album?

Not really a huge RHCP fan, but a complete Frusciante nut as far as his solo albums go.
