Yeah, but making fun of Canadian's never gets old smile.gif

So you're not a real man then, seeing as you can't ignore people and have to be abusive and aggressive all the time .. hmm, interesting! In actual fact, if you walked into most places and started carrying on like you are here you'd most likely be escorted out of the place. In my line of work I don't put up with people talking to me like that and nor should anyone. I usually have a three warning rule where if they persist I walk away, managers know my stance on it and it has actually happened before and hey ... I still have the same job! So what you're saying is, if a customer (assuming you deal with the public .. not a wise move, but still) is going ape shit at you, regardless of whether of not it is your fault of the company's fault, you'll just sit there like a schmuck and take it for however long it takes, all day if needs be? Productive work place that must be!

What in the blue fuck are you on about. You said I'd be flipping burgers, and I said that would mean I am in the kitchen part of the place and not in the order taking part which would mean I'm not serving you. Go back and re-read it.

Actually no my ancestory isn't of deported criminals seeing as I am first generation Australian. My parents were born elsewhere.

Nope, I do like most intelligent people would do and smile. Tell them I enjoy their manners and to "have a nice day!!" While waving sarcastically. That's what makes the company I work for one of the top 25 richest companies in the world with sales exceeding 60 billion dollars last year. We're sucessful because we know how to deal with people, good and bad alike. That's why I have full benefits and a pension that pays me 5 percent of my yearly earnings. Guess that's why I just got my 2,600 hundred dollar bonus I get twice a year. How unproductive my company is!!! laugh.gif

Also, I must have forgotten that you Aussies are too dumb to multi task. See, the people who flip burgers here are also the people who often come out and run cash. Although their job sucks, they're more efficient than the zombie who stands there and simply flips a burger. Talk about efficiency in the workplace will ya?

Oh, and is there such a thing as a first generation Australian? Thought you were all descendants of Limey slime. My bad I guess. uhoh.gif

So rather than try and defuse the situation you act like a sarcastic dick to an angry customer which only fuels it more? Nice. It's awesome how you have to keep talking yourself up on a message board, way to go!

Ok, efficiency in the work place - not having people running backwards and forwards between jobs in a burger joint. Let's take McDonald's for example, I'm sure you've heard of them. One is close to my work so i get it a few times a week, each time I go in, without fail the same group of people are serving, and the same group of people in behind the scenes making the food. Kinda like a restaurant really, unless you prefer the chef waiting your table whilst the waiters try and cook your meal? If it's a small place then sure to save on staff cost people will most likely do both jobs. More common though is the fact that you're likely to either be serving people, or flipping burgers. If McDonald's had the same people running backwards and forwards between the kitchen and the counter trying to serve and cook food for the 50 or so people standing infront of the counter ... well they'd be fucked. Unless however it's a Canadian McDonald's which just serves raw Moose.

You're in the Commonwealth too I see, how's it working out for you being under the Monarch of the Limey slime?
