...is what you'd be reading if live decided to call it quits. I honestly think its around the corner. Ed talking down the importance of releasing full studio albums, the atrocious album sales, the general lack of interest even amoungst their own fan community. This is how bands fizzle out. Theyre not gonna make another throwing copper anytime soon. i think we all just face the music and start a money pool

I think they're probably the two most alike albums .. the thing is DOAD has youthful innocence on it's side, SFBM has no excuse. If that album was written by a bunch of kids making their first stab at music then it's probably forgivable, but from a band that has progressed through albums TC to SS to TDTH ..eh.

I think lyrically DOAD is leaps and bounds better, ok songs like Paper Flowers are silly. But I really adore the lyrics on Who Put the Fear in Here, and would rank that greater than anything on SFBM for starters. Both albums are extremely "safe". But getting back to my original point, DOAD was safe because, hey, it's all they really knew to play at that time.

I definately agree with you here on the point that fans expect something more comprehensive and less safe after their albums in the 90's. But on the other hand, SFBM wouldn't be possible without those albums. Without their 90's era, they would still playing paper flower and she my sista-songs
