Hey I agree with Hoodstock that we have to bring up topics elsewhise this will be a boring place.
well I bring up this one: Woodstock '99.

I know Live played that festival, but because I only became fan in 1999, I don't know much about their live shows in that year. But they played there, right?
I actually don't know if the name does anything to do with the 'real Woodstock', the old festival with Jimmy Hendrix etc I have on dvd rockin.gif but oke, whatever, but I imagine it was a huge festival?

My question: how was Live on that one? a succesfull show? Succesfull? Is there any footage of them playing there?

I think they had a really good/fresh vibe then.

I'd have to agree with this statement. I was lucky enough to be at the show, and from the perspective of being in the crowd, and having the 225,000+ people around me watching and singing along with my favourite band, I can say it was one of the coolest experiences a Live fan could have ever wanted. WS'99 was plagued with problems, and the weekend itself was pretty whacked. Although the music lineup was superb, a lot of logisitcal problems led to a lot of angry people and well, I'm sure you've seen or heard about the rest.

It's an unfortunate legacy to a concert event that could have been historical for all the right reasons. I feel proud to say that my favourite band played at both the 1994 and 1999 iterations of the festival, and even prouder to say that I was there to see Live play during that moment in their career.

As tswart1 said, Live were entering a very special moment in their career that seemed to all the fans - and the band for that matter - to be a rebirth. Live were emerging from the dark of SS to a realm of postivity on TDTH. The songs had energy, hope and life to them. As TDTH wasn't out yet, and those of us who were waiting to see what Live would produce post-SS, it was very refreshing to stand in the hot sun, hear the fresh sound, experience the bands new energy and look forward to what was coming from the band.

To do all that in the company of so many other people, singing along as any good 90s generation should, to songs like I Alone, LC and Selling the Drama, was an experience I'll never forget.

The setlist, to the best of my memory:

01. Where Fishes Go
02. Operation Spirit
03. All Over You
04. Selling the Drama
05. Pain Lies on the River Side
06. Dolphins Cry
07. Turn my Head
08. Shit Towne
09. Lakini's Juice
10. I Alone
11. Lightning Crashes
