So, which song do you guys think did NOT belong at the end of an album? Also, what song should have been there in it's place? Any album, and songs can cross albums if it sounds good and isn't anachronistic.

I don't get all this animosity towards Horse. I agree with Hoodstock, Horse was the perfect ending to Throwing Copper.

Throwing Copper not ending with Horse would be like it not starting with The Dam At Otter Creek. Part of the reason this album was so successful and "grew" it's way to number one after a year of being on the charts was because of how well placed the tracks were. Not only were there some really great songs but they were ordered so it flowed perfectly.

After the "apocalyptic" ending with White,Discussion all of a sudden everything is washed away and you have a simply old catchy upbeat country rock song. In my opinion this song is arguably the best last song on a Live album. Live tried to duplicate this last song effect to some degree with Secret Samadhi and "Gas Hed Goes West". Unfortunately, the song didn't have the straight forward simplicity that Horse had.

("Horse" haters at least have to respect the bass line in that song)
