Louisville, Kentucky, August 3rd, 2007 Options

As for me and TaylorsLoveSlave (My Wife) we are psyched about the boys coming to town with CC and CS. We live about three and half hours from The 'Ville but we will make the trip and possibly to Dayton and Indy as well, not sure. I saw the boys the last time they played Louisville on "The Distance to Here" Tour at the Palace Theater, with my late best friend and fellow Live Freak Nate(RIP). I'm sure the memories of all the shows we saw together will come flowing back as always. My wife has really gotten into +LIVE+ since her first show in Reading, PA, she has even talked about making a trip to Jersey and seeing them at Starland so who knows. Here's to a great summer of concerts and Ed, Chad G, Pat, Chad T, and Adam kicking much ass.

I just heard a slight promo for the concert on the Fox. Here is what the DJ said in a nutshell.

" great bands at Louisville Slugger Field tonight. Collective Soul, Live, and Counting Crows. Tickets kinda expensive. I keep telling concert promoters that Louisville is a different city. We don't buy tickets in advance, we just show up and buy them the day of the show, so you promoters need to not be discouraged until day of show. We'll be there and we'll be strong"

I just checked out your MySpace and put in an add request. I will watch for you. My husband and I will be there. My picture is in pics on my MySpace. I posted pictures there from last Friday night in Dayton of Live and Collective Soul. It will be cool to hang with a Live fan for this concert! Everyone around me was there for Counting Crows. Hope tp see ya there.

Well I just got back from the concert, royally pissed, but I guess it's my fault. They wouldn't let me on the f%^#in field because I didn't have a "field general admission" ticket, I had a regular general admission ticket. When I ordered tickets GA popped up and I assumed that was it. I mean general admission is general admission, not for the triple plays.

Long story short I was stuck in the stands where it completely blowed. I felt like I was listening to one of their concert recordings while in the hot outdoors. I could see them, but it didn't have the vibe of a +Live+ show at all. People around me were talking, not paying attention to the band, or being considerate at all.

Collective Soul was exactly as expected from the reviews on this forum. Their lead singer did the cheesy"Tell your friends and family you saw Collective Soul line." They had a few rocking out moments, but in all honesty I couldn't gauge them well at all from my shitty stand seats. I couldn't even focus on +Live+ so you can imagine my lack of concentration with them.

+Live+ performed an average set, pretty much the same set list from recent shows. I'm sure it was a much better experience closer to the stage. Ed might have been reading this site from his hotel room because towards the begining of the show he asked if it was "Hot enough, should I take my shirt off, that's not illegal here is it? He didn't take it off during LC, which was good cause the people were into that song. He took it off between LC and LJ.

That's all for now, I can post more details about the show later. I'm off to Photoshop a ticket that will get me into the field tomorrow.
