A discussion a long time coming Options

Hello,

I've been browsing this board for a few years now, just to keep up with the latest on my favorite band, Live. Today, I finally decided to register, so I can actually contribute.

I read in the tour section a few differing opinions about something that may or may not even be that big of deal, but I have an opinion, so I figured I'd share, for sharing's sake.

I personally can't stand when Ed takes his shirt off at shows. I understand he is the artist, and his expression should ideally be unfettered, but still... I think he loses the connection with the audience. I know he's been doing this for years, but maybe we've just grown numb as to how lame he actually looks.

I've been an AVID Live fan since 94, and I still love the band, and I still love the shows. For me, this is something that I have just learned to tolerate. I recently took one of my buddies to a show, and when he started stripping, I couldn't help but cringe inside. Same thing when I took my girlfriend to a show. It just gets awkward. And both my friend and my girlfriend agreed that the stripping made the show much more cheezy and "gay" and much less cool.

You want to get into the songs wholeheartedly, but something just prevents you from doing so.

So, what do you guys think?

What is going on here?

Ed isn't the same young guy who was part of a band that produced riveting music. He should STOP taking his shirt off during concerts because not only is it ridiculous but it is overwhelmingly lame.

But can you tell me where I've exhibited any form of homophobia idiot? Because I haven't, which makes your statement inane and proves your first addition of your two cents in this thread to be useless. Back to Beverly Hills with you and your day consisting of walking down the street wearing your various 1980's Michael Jackson outfits.

But again, so what if I were to be gay? So what if anybody is? I certainly have nothing against gay people.....male or female. The homophobia that seems to exist comes from you douche bags, scurrying around on a message board and crying about Ed taking his shirt off. Then taking the time to accuse me of being gay in a context that pokes fun at homosexuality......Shows off the extent of your intelligence really doesn't it? I think it does. I also think that a few of you losers have proven my point.

Bottom line is if you don't like the shirt removal? Fuck yourself and stay home instead of coming to a message board and complaining like whiny little bitches in the fifth grade. Go and watch who you presume to be real men at some other concert somewhere else.

And SINFUL EYES. You should really think about how dumb you sound before coming on here calling somebody gay, whilst you pretend to be female. NOW THAT'S FUNNY! I know exactly who you are now you cowardly little piece of shit. Finally found a way to get back in huh? Hiding behind the guise of being female, how sad and pathetic. Your life really must consist of constant boredom and whack off sessions.

Like I said, when either you or Ex have the balls to show your faces, let me know. I know for fact you don't....but there's always the chance that you'll get tired of being a coward who does nothing but shout off HIS gate and run.
