I really hope Live is the closer for that show. Otherwise, I'd be pissed. Really. If they opened, I'd lose interest for the rest of the show.

I disagree with that reporter.

I thought Collective Soul was better than both Live and Counting Crows. Just be cause the crowd wasn't into it and the sun hadn't set yet, doesn't mean they sucked. I thought it was damn good. But I do have to admit their new music wasn't very good - especially the song that Ed wasn't lead on. I thought Better Now, The World I Know, and Shine kicked ass especially.

Live was OK. This was my 4th time seeing them (2nd this summer), and this show would probably rank 3rd. The setlist was bad. Someone needs to tell them that Wings and Where Do We Go From Here absolutely ruin the tempo of the show. I actually liked the cover, but there's way too much mention of God in the song which probably leads people to believe that Live has turned Christian rock. Lakini's Juice was by far the best song, and Heaven was actually pretty good last night (as he was singing "I can see the sunset" the sun was setting so he turned and pointed toward the pink sky). Whoever was standing behind me knew all the words to every song and knew exactly which song they were about to play so I'm going to go ahead and guess that it was one of you guys (white shirt, female, standing with another female).

So I had been told not to expect too much from Counting Crows, and I'm glad I didn't. I don't have much to say about their performance, but damn people were rowdy as hell around me. I saw one guy literally try to kill another guy. He put him in a headlock and threw him to the ground, knocking him unconscious for a couple minutes. It was pretty scary. Both of the guys were removed. Why can't people just go to a concert and enjoy the show without being assholes? I've never understood that.

All in all, glad I got to see three of my favorites on one night. It was worth the steep ticket price.

My not liking Collective Soul had nothing to do with the lack of crowd response that they received. I just don't feel Collective Soul has the necessary stage presence to fill a large space. The band(minus Ed Roland) pretty much stays rooted in their same spot their entire set and it makes for a lackluster onstage performance.

Plus, last night Ed Roland was whining about the time constraints the band faced instead of being grateful that CS was permitted to open for the Counting Crows, and had the opportunity to play their music in front of a large audience. Say what you want about Ed K. but last night he came across grateful that he had the opportunity to play in front of such a large audience.

Finally Ed Roland closed his set by yelling, "You just saw Collective Soul and you know you liked it, tell your friends." He comes across as such a tool onstage that its embarrassing.

Oh my God!!!

Collective Soul does the exact same thing every time. This is the exact same show as Michigan. Probably the exact same setlist.

They stand around like wounded ducks! The lead singer complains about stage time. Then he ends every show with the exact same lame ass quote.

I'm sorry, but if you like Collective Soul on this tour you are a tool. The reporter knew exactly what he was talking about.

It would be great if they just quit and made the tour a double header, giving Live more time. That would make sitting through Counting Crows more tolerable.

I saw them last time when they toured with Live. I have never seen a lead singer forget the lyrics in the middle of a hit song (Long December), stop playing, tell the crowd he forgot, and then pick up the song a minute later after he went through it. They are the worst band ever.

I've never even seen a high school band do that. They Suck! Live should find some different touring partners!

Well I guess I'm a tool, and really I don't care. I enjoyed their show, and that's the bottom line.

You are entitled to your own opinion, just as I am, just as that reporter is.
