Live will be playing at the DTE "aka Pine Knob" on Sunday July 8th and co-headlining with Collective Soul. I've heard no news on who will open.

Just wanted to add what the venue states for the concert. It has good info on each of the bands:

LIVE AND COLLECTIVE SOUL WITH SPECIAL GUEST BIG HEAD TODD & THE MONSTERS TO PERFORM AT DTE ENERGY MUSIC THEATRE JULY 8

Alternative rock bands Live and Collective Soul with special guest Big Head Todd & The Monsters will perform at DTE Energy Music Theater on Sunday, July 8 at 7 p.m.

Tickets at $37.50 pavilion and $15 lawn are on sale now at Palacenet.com, The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre Box Offices and all Ticketmaster locations.

Tickets may also be charged to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 248/645-6666.

Live first formed in the early 1980s in their hometown of York, Pennsylvania, when future members Chad Taylor (guitar), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums) began playing together under the name First Aid while attending middle school. After losing an area talent contest, they decided to enlist singer Ed Kowalczyk, and as a foursome the group played under a series of names before drawing their current name out of a hat.

In 1992, the band released their debut album Mental Jewelry, which peaked at number seven on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Their follow-up album Throwing Copper (1994) reached number one on Billboard’s 200 Top-Selling Albums chart based on the strength of the hit singles, “I Alone” and “Lightning Crashes.” In 1997, they released Secret Samadhi, which also peaked at number one on Billboard’s 200 Top-Selling Albums chart.

The band has also released several other albums including The Distance to Here (1999), V (2001), Birds of Prey (2001) and Awake: The Best of Live (2004).

Their latest release Songs from the Black Mountain (2006) reached number three on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart.

Collective Soul is an alternative rock/post-grunge band from Stockbridge, Georgia. The band initially got its start known as Marching Two Step in the late 1980s and went through several lineup changes before they broke through as Collective Soul. Originally released in 1993, Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid proved popular with the hit “Shine,” which became a modern rock and MTV staple. The band found themselves with a platinum debut, playing everywhere from arenas with Aerosmith to Woodstock in 1994. They released their sophomore effort the following year, Collective Soul, which featured the hits “World I Know” and “December,” once again going multi-platinum. Other albums include Disciplined Breakdown (1997), Dosage (1999), Blender (2000) and 7even Year Itch: Collective Soul’s Greatest Hits 1994 (2001). Their most recent album, an eight song EP (From the Ground Up) was released in 2005.

Currently, the band consists of Ed Roland (vocals, keyboard, guitar), Dean Roland (guitar), Will Turpin (bass guitar, vocals), Joel Kosche (guitar) and Ryan Hoyle (drums, percussion).

Big Head Todd & The Monsters originated in 1986 in Colorado. Their debut album was Another Mayberry (1989) followed by Midnight Radio, which was released the following year. Their first live album, Big Head Todd and The Monsters Live (1993) was recorded at the H.O.R.D.E. Festival.

Other albums include Sister Sweetly (1993), Strategem (1994), Beautiful World (1997), Live Monsters (1998), Riviera (2002), Crimes of Passion (2004), Live at the Fillmore (2004) and From the Archives (2007).

Current band members include Todd Park Mohr (guitar/vocals), Brian Nevin (drums/vocals) and Rob Squires (bass/vocals).

Live and Collective Soul with special guest Big Head Todd & The Monsters are part of the Belle Tire Concert Series.
