For better or worse, Live has continuously evolved artistically throughout the course of their career. Each album has a completely different sound from it's predecessors.

The question I would like to pose to Live fans is which album transition do you feel displayed the largest artistic change, regardless of whether it was good or bad, for Live?

To me it was close but I had to go with from DOAD to MJ.

DOAD for me is unlistenable. You're hard pressed to find any real bass or guitar work in there whatsoever. The music is pop sounding and very bad at that.

MJ starts out with PLOTR, where Pat's bass kicks more ass than in any other Live tune. Ed's voice matures here and sounds vastly different. The music takes a turn into a funky, retro rock kinda thing.

The turn from TDTH to V was also huge. I just couldn't be bothered to listen to V again to try and gain an opinion of the differences. I despise that cd plain and simple and will never play it again.

MJ to TC to me was a simple change in rock styles really. TC seems to be just an over produced version is all with slightly more anthemic themes incorporated into the music. But not so different in my opinion.

It's not their best work, but it's not totally unlistenable. I think "Savior For A Day" is a pretty good song and I enjoy it. thumbsup.gif

"Ball and Chain" is alright when you are in an upbeat mood and "Good Pain", which is on the MJ album, came from DOAD.
