I absolutely love Live, but the setlist has to change heynow.gif . I just checked what they played on June 10th this year with Collective Soul. It's almost the exact same setlist as last year banghead.gif . It was:

1) Mystery
2) All Over You
3) Selling The Drama
4) The River
5) Mirror Song
6) They Stood Up For Love
7) Voodoo Lady
8) Wings
9) Shit Towne
10) I Walk The Line [Johnny Cash]
11) Iris
12) The Dolphin's Cry
13) Heaven

ENCORE
14) Sofia
15) Lakini's Juice
16) I Alone
17) Lightning Crashes
18) Operation Spirit
19) Dance With You

The statement from one of the people at the concert was that Collective Soul was great since they were playing songs that everyone knew, and that when Live went on a stretch of what seemed like 8 songs that people weren't familiar with the place started to clear out tear.gif . I'm sorry, but Voodoo Lady, Wings, Sofia, Iris, Mirror Song, and I Walk The Line have to go. As a diehard Live fan, I don't even care for these songs. I can see why people who don't follow every step of the band's career walk out. In addition, Dance With You is good, but they've been closing with that forever and a concert should end on something upbeat anyway. That's more of a middle of the show song so people can get up to get a beer. I'll be really disappointed veryangry.gif if they come to Michigan with that setlist, especially since I didn't care for it last year.

Live, if you are looking, PLEASE MIX IT UP thumbsup.gif !!!!!

Pokey, you make an excellent point. How about this as a 19 song set list for one show:

The Dam At Otter Creek
Selling The Drama
Mystery
Century
Operation Spirit
The Distance
I Alone
The Dolphin's Cry
Simple Creed
Graze
Turn My Head
Lakini's Juice
Shit Towne
The Stood Up For Love
The River
All Over You

Encore:
Lightning Crashes
Run To The Water
Heaven

Century, yeah...forgot to add that one!! I seriously cannot understand how so many people dislike that song. Song fucking rocks at the end.

But honestly, The River and All Over You need to be off any setlist. All Over You is just over done, not a great song to begin with and overdone.

Second, I know some of you like it, but The River is simply straight up balls. I go to see LIVE to hear some good rock music performed by a bunch of guys I admire. They play The River and honestly? I'm embarassed for them. Last show I was at, I heard at least ten or 15 people say, "why the fuck are they playing this crap?'" And I'm sorry to those of you who like it, it's complete crap really. Just like you say Avril Lavigne is crap, The River is equally so.

Wake up and admit it to yourself. Think about it in the context of LIVE and good rock concert music. The River doesn't fit into either one.

Nope.

I can sit here and say tha Avril Lavigne is good. A whole boatload of you will jump in and tell me how badly her music blows. Which it does.

The point is, some things are just fact. The River is crap, comparable to Britney spears and Avril Lavigne type music. It's utterly stupendous how people like Nick go on about how bad Nickelback and Lavigne are, but turn around and say "The River is a great song!" A complete oxymoron and biased bullcrap to the tits.

You can blow B.S. out your ass all day. Fact REALLY is The River is a good song. Not one thing that you or anyone else here can say will change my mind. Music is an art and what is good is in the eye of the beholder.

In fact ... I'm going to listen to it right now, and enjoy it!!!! music.gif
