Discuss Nickelback please..... Options

I have mixed feelings about this band.

They are either loved or hated, there seems to be no middle. But for me, I'm straddling that line.

If you go way back and listen to their early shit, they are actually pretty raw and rockin'. Coincidentally, so was Live. Lately, their music has become fairly boring and uncreative...Pop rock if you will.......Coincidentally, so has Live's music. I think they've followed fairly similar paths.

I think both bands are average musically, on par with one another. BUT, what sets these bands far apart to me is that Live's earlier work borders lyrical genius. Their music was relevant to society, and spoke volumes on many issues that artists that young don't dare approach nowadays. It touched a lot of people deep down on a shitload of different levels.

Overall, although I don't like their recent music and writing, LIVE is the superior band in my opinion

Holy fucking shit. The fact that people are comparing Live to Nickleback goes to show just how low our boys from Live have sunk.

I hate to be closed-minded and disrespectful of others' taste in music, but Nickleback has to be the worst band in existence today. They are utterly unoriginal, insultingly repetitive, disgustingly bland, and grossly overrated.

Every time they come up on the tv or radio I punch something and feel the urge to vomit.

They are the posterchild for everything WRONG about the current musical landscape. People listen to them and like them because they are so atrociously bad that they don't require any thought, energy, or emotion from simple-minded people.

They are like turning on a television and staring at a blank screen; sadly, lots of people today enjoy such a thing because it takes less mental power to be mindlessly bored than to have to think about anything at all.

There is only one thing I enjoy about Nickleback: the passionate hatred that intelligent people feel towards them. Case in point:
