Ok, first off, even though my account profile shows I've been a member here since Feb 06, I've got less than ten fingers worth of posts on here. And my number of posts is proof of how much I've kept up with the discussion forum, so forgive me if this has been discussed to death and back and to death again. But... why the FORK!!! didn't Live release Vine Street on one of their albums?!? I mean... uh. IPB Image

I'd been wondering about that song because I had never heard it before in my life until, oh, I'll say, six minutes ago (the only reason it's six is because I listened to it twice back to back). That song is pure kick-you-in-the-balls ferocity.... yet it's a freaking b-side? Hmm... I'll forgive them if it's their lead-off single for the next album.... or if it's even on the album. whistle.gif

I'm a fan of the Vine Street demo as compared to the finalized version that included the sirens and whatnot.

Also, it seems like the period of writing for TDTH was unbelievable for Live. To have 2 versions of TSUFL that are equally amazing (big bang and album/radio mix) shows what a great place this band was in back then. If only they could go sit in a room for a month and write songs together again...

I agree w/ you about the sirens. That's just a little hokey. But I love the crispness of the finalized version.

Btw... TSUFL "big bang" version? Which one is that?

They should release it on their next album without the Sirens. If you play it loud in your car you can freak some people out when the sirens come on.

I've scared the shit out of myself, as a matter of fact.

Speaking of, does anybody have a good rip of the song? The ONLY copy I've ever found is the same 128 kbps rip of it and it really doesn't sound too great. And it's not like it's rare as it was an officially released b-side and on the Millennium Gift. Hell, if somebody could rip a FLAC of it, I'd be in your debt.
