Chris Daughtry's "Home" also about US troops?, what about Live's! Options

Hey, I dunno of everyone knows the Chris Daughtry album, but the second single of it is coming up (or is already released), and it's Home, track no.3 at the cd.

Although I already knew the track for quite a while and liked it in the beginning, I found this at Billboard.com

"Home," fires up another anthemic rock power ballad, with a lyric dedicated to U.S. troops overseas, a la, "I'm going home to a place I belong/Where your love has always been enough for me." Considering his sure-shot, flame-throwing vocal, name-brand cachet and mass appeal via a No. 1 album—not to mention the song's use as the exit theme each week on "A.I."—"Home" is undeniably where America's heart is.

Ofcourse I made the connection to Home at SFBM and Home at Daughtry before, but I never thought about something behind it, just songs with the same title.
But reading that in Billboard, realising he's a big Live fan, and Live made a song about a US-soldier's view in the Gulfwar a year before Daughtry releases a single Home that also deals with the US troops. And he will have a lot of airplay in the US, regarding his first single!

Man I'm not offending Daughtry, I like his album, but damn, with a better promotion SFBM could be so much more succesfull for Live than that it was (or is). And now Daughtry gets attention with a theme Live did already before in a song.
SFBM had not to fail, there was a lot of hit potential stuff on this album

I don't know I just always think its a shame when a rock star can't even be nice to the very people that put him where he is. Like AI, radio station people and his fans. He would be nowhere without the people that voted for him OR that show. Its funny that he thinks he's too good for AI all of the sudden when that is the only reason anybody even knows his name. It might be different if he was making really great music but his music isn't even that good. If his music was good I would still buy it regardless of whether or not the guy's a dick. But I guess I just think he has a little bit bigger of an ego than he should for someone in his position.

well yeah, I don't think he's a rockstar
For being a rockstar you have to prove your qualities with your famous band at several albums and not only an album that sells very well because of you appearance on AI. Don't get me wrong, the album Daughtry sounds good, but it's nothing to call a classic rock album or something. If he had made a total original rock album with the band he played with, totally different from the AI pop music, well than I would take him serious. Now it's like: good/fun album, I listen a lot, but nothing special.

and btw, again: Mystery together with Live was good the guy as a very good voice
But he's NOT A ROCKSTAR!!
