I've heard.

But the panhandle (near Wheeling) is supposed to be pretty nice, and that's where one of the places I'm considering going to is. Have you been there?

I did pass through Wheeling once, and it actually looked like a pretty cool town. But it's still hella far away from anywhere with anything actually happening. Especially with you being from NYC, it would seem like hell to you.

Come to California.

That's pretty cool. Well one of my main goals by moving out of the city is to truly "get away from it all," so to speak. I really just want to live as far away from city life as possible for four years. I think it would be a good experience for me. I want to be somewhat close to a city, so I can still be able to travel there once in a while, and Pittsburgh is really close to Wheeling (less than an hour away), so that would be pretty cool. But mainly I like the idea of getting away from city life.

And no, I am not coming to California for college. I was considering applying to University of Redlands last year, but I've decided that California and I would not be a great match, lol. East Coast or Colorado, I say.

Personally, I find California a perfect match for me at the moment. Everything seems to be very close by. Winter time: My friends and I jam in the car for a 3 hour drive to Lake Tahoe to ski (well not too much right now as the prices sky rocketed...fucking rip-off) and I go to college and work on the week days. Summer time: a 30 minute drive to the beach and then there's Lake Tahoe where I hike up to the waterfall (Beautiful and peaceful). Anyways, a perfect balance since I can't stand to be in the city or rustic country too long.

Buy you know what you are doing though and CA is a far ways away from New York.

Yeah, that seems pretty cool. The things I've always been turned off by about California, though, is the people, the weather, and the culture. Not so much the people as the culture, actually. I also like having at least some cold months with possibly snow...I like the cold a lot. I usually sleep with my window open at night during the winter, and the thermometer in my room goes down to 40 degrees, lol. I like hot or warm weather, but only when it's summer. I've always wanted to visit Lake Tahoe, though (summer or winter). I've heard really nice things about it, so maybe I'll do a road-trip across the country one summer and check it out. But overall, I guess it's just all about personal preferences.
