Next Album Options

So... in light of SFBM not being a favorite of most, what direction do you think the band will take with its next album??? Will they continue to be "pop" or will they pull black and record an album that "goes back to their roots"...

I'm praying for the latter, although I do find half the songs on SFBM to be worthy...

And, how long do you think it'll take before they come out with it?

I'd like to see another album - maybe something that sounds like it was an angry stepchild of SS and TDTH... yeah... that's what I want...

just release a decent version of Lift me Up (and that is out there, but god knows where), and I'll be more than fine. When they can't release it officially, let it leak on the internet give the fans what they're askin'for

Yeah, I meant Still Aroused, actually (I got a decent Don't Wait). Didn't you download the Lift Me Up version that Icewaterike posted here a few months back? The quality was ALOT better than all the other versions I heard before!

i don't think the songs would be the same if they were recorded now. the beauty of them is the time frame in which they were recorded... it's a different band now. they couldn't hope to put the same raw energy behind songs like change and new city.

I totally agree! I so miss Ed's MJ-voice...

as for a getting a good version of lift me up, i thought of a way, but it still requires connections. kevin smith, famed director of every movie featuring jay and silent bob, obviously has a mixed and mastered version since a clip of it appears in the mallrats dvd. if someone out there had any kind of juice and could get a favor out of smith, then the problem will be solved.
