Seether/Shinedown/Halestorm in Baltimore, Who all is going? Options

I'm hoping to get there by the time Halestorm starts. 6:50 I think. I'm guessing everyone thats going from here will be there by then. I'm pretty sure Chook will be.

Ehh, seether doesn't suck..they are the best band on this bill. All of thier cd's are platnuim so they can't suck that bad. Halestorm is kind of one of those screaming bands...yuck. Thee girl from flyleaf has a much better actual singing voice. It's a co-headlining tour so they rotate nights. There is no headliner. I don't see all the hub bub is about halestorm..i can't stand those screaming bands anymore. I like singers that can actually sing.

Soo you're saying that Seether must be a good band because they sell a lot of records? So then I guess you must also be a HUGE fan of Brittney Spears. After seeing Seether perform an entire set I can honestly say that I would rather stick a hot poker in my eye than to ever have to suffer through that again. But we obviously have different opnions on what good music is. Halestorm, in my opinion, is one of the best bands that I have ever seen grace a stage.

I hate when people bring up the fact that if a rock band sells a lot its like a pop act selling a lot. To me its totally diffrent. Pop music is more about image than actual music. Teen girls will go buy cheezy Britney Spears music just because they like her look or her image. For a hard rock band to sell a lot of records you usually HAVE to have good music. People who bought the Seether CD will probably listen to it more and keep it longer than anyone will keep a Britney Spears album.

I had this same kind of arguement come up on a diffrent board about Throwing Copper. A guy told me just because it sold 6 + million albums it wasn't that good. To him maybe but obviously not the majority of rock fans in the mid 90's. There aren't a lot of rock bands that reach 6 mil anymore. If they do its a band like Green Day who also has a very Poppy image.

And as far as Halestorm being one of the best bands to ever grace a stage.....I know its your opinion but come on you can't be serious? I like them and hope they have great success but that really is pushing it when theres a lot of GREAT bands out there.

And I know you didn't post about Seether's music sounding all the same I did want to address that as well. I don't see how anyone can say that when you go from a song like "Fuck It" right to the original version of "Broken" (w/o Amy) on Disclaimer. Then on Karma and Effect you have a song like "Remedy" then songs like "The Gift" and "Plastic Man" just all totally diffrent songs. I honestly think they are one of the most diverse bands playing hard in one song then having stuff all the way down to "Broken" and "Plastic Man" kinda like Live use to do on eary albums. I dunno thats just my opinion please don't jump on me, I'm not trying to knock anyones tastes I just wanted to defend Seether a lil bit.
