I know that +Live+ don't want to expend a lot of money in their videos, Ed in an interview said that "Mark Romanek is my friend, but he collect a lot of money"

well, i think that the best videos of +Live+ were directed by good directors, that charge a lot of money, maybe, but the quality of photography, stages, etc are the best...

i don't know all the names of the directors, but i think that these are the best videos of +Live+

1.- Pain Lies On The Riverside - Directed by... (Bad Video)

2.- Operation Spirit - Directed by... (Good Video)

3.- Selling The Drama - Directed by... (Good Video, is just like Jeremy or some video of the beggining of 90's)

4.- I Alone - Directed by... (Excellent video)

5.- Lightning Crashes - Directed by Jake Scott (Great great Video)

6.-White, Discussion (version I & II) - Directed by... ( uhoh.gif Video)

7.- Lakini's Juice - Directed By... ( freackin rockin.gif good Video)

8.- Freaks - Directed by... (Great Great Video)

9.- Turn My Head - Directed by Jake Scott (the photography in 3 pannels is great!!! is the most beautiful video i've ever seen!!!)

10.- Turn My Head - Directed by Mary Lambert (Bad Bad Video, Sorry!!!)

11.- Ghost - Directed by... (Agreat Video, very simple, but nice video)

12.- The Dolphin's Cry - Directed by Martin Weisz (A great great great video, the best if i can say)

13.- Run to the Water - Directed by (i duno if Martin Weisz or Another director) [Great great video, the second part is much better than the dog's end version]

14.- They Stood Up For Love - Directed by... (Funny video)

15.- FMBNLE - Directed by Mary Lambert (I think that the videos of Mary Lambert didn't have the felling or the quality that +Live+ requires)

16.- Overcome - Directed by American Planet (emotive Video, the version with Ed, the other version is good)

17.- Simple Creed - Directed by Marc Webb (Is like the Liz Friedlander video of U2's Walk On, the same concept and photography)

18.- Like a Soldier - Directed by... (the good parts are with the band, the conceptual part i think that careless of sense... is only my opinion)

19.- Heaven (Live at Vorst National - Brussels) - Directed by MTV (Great video, but i think that the change of the audio, just like White discussion, is bad, they should use the original audio)

20.- Heaven (concept version) - Directed by Arni & Kinsky (A beautiful Video)

21.- Run Away (with Shelby Lynne) - Directed by Mary Lambert (bad bad video, Shelby is beautiful but i don't know, i don'tlike that video)

22.- The River - Directed by Nathan Cox (I think that this video had the quality of The Dolphin's Cry, is an excallent video, and the photography is beautiful!!!)

Note: if somebody can help me to know who are the directors of the videos, please, post in the topic!!!

Thanx!!!

Yes, Gertjan. tear.gif thumbsup.gif
Thank you very much, I've been looking for this video for years after something went wrong with my videotape.
The words used in this video mean so much to me.
Thank you again. hug.gif

SecretInsomnia: Thanks to Gertjan I've downloaded the video.
Do you want to have it too?

GvB.

I downloaded it yesterday by means of Gerjan's link, so now I have it too!
It was one of the only video clips of LIve I hadn't smile.gif so cool. And indeed, I agree full with you that the words of the video fit very well with the song and it creates an emotional feeling. Why didn't they put this video at Awake, instead of the clip with almost only 11/9 shots?

It is more than an emotional feeling to me.
I know that it sounds silly, and maybe it is, but it has changed the way I viewed things in this world and it has changed the way I dealed with myself and the people around me and the rest of the world.

This video, together with the song, put my face in the mirror like the way it needed to happen to me.

Futher I agree with you that this video should have been put on Awake.
But at the other hand, the video with Ed on ground zero is maybe more meaningful to any American Live fans.
So maybe they could have put them both on Awake.
But, I have the video now again, so for myself I don't mind anymore that they didn't put it on Awake.

GvB.

except for the much much better quality that a video had on a DvD smile.gif haha no just jokin', I get ya.

You know, it feels great to read about how such a video changed someone's way of thinking and just turning his life!'Can it be more fantastic?

And overcome.. it just has something special, don't know. The song: when I heard it at the radio for the first time I was like: wtf!?? Such a great song. So sitting all day long with my tape recorder waiting for the song to come again on the radio... I had no clue that I would hear it very often after that time. It's one of the reasons I bought V not long after that.

And about the video: I remember a friend at school who told me about it. I hadn't seen it yet, and he - not a Live fan but knew I was a big fan cuz I was talkin about them all day -told me about 'their new song' and the video was full of 9/11 etc. So when I saw it at tv it was very cool to see a song by Live dedicated to 9/11. Although I know they never written it for that, lookin' back I'd wish they hadn't linked to 9/11, (after all the negative comment on the band like they were tryin' to make easy money), although radio has made it more 9/11 than that Live did. After the radio played it so much they descided to link it to 9/11 too and to benifit from it to get money to give away. A better way in using a song - to use it to get money that you can give another - isn't possible, I think, but all the braindead f*ckin'recensist over the world that judge Live - the people who think they know anything about music - should stfu and shouldn't write about them before they know anything about it at all. But it's oke. It can't bother me now as much as it did. Live gave the world a special song with Overcome and that's the most important. Tnx Ed. Tnx CHad, Patrick and Chad and all the others.
