What do people here think of the killers? I was a bit so/so on the first album, there were a few good tracks like "All these things that I've done" but there was a lot of trash, that "Somebody told me" song where he demonstrates how bad his vocals can be.

But I heard some of the new album "Sam's Town" and really like it .. it's nothing ground breaking but it's much more consistant than that first. It's like mixing Sparks, Jeff Buckley, Queen and I dunno ... the Killers, all together. Some songs are very Sparks like, and whilst obviously comparing Brandon Flower's voice to JB is like comparing a bicycle to the space program, there is just something about it, he's definetly improved .. catchy tunes on the album like "Uncle Johnny" which has a simple yet addictive guitar riff through it and the title track "Sam's Town" .. either way, what do you guys think of them?

I have to admit I do like them. I usually can't stand that type of music but for some reason I dig them. I like most of their first cd but haven't checked out the second one yet. If there is a Buckley/Queen influence I don't know how it would be possible for me not to like it.
