were the two threads about live "calling it quits" closed? I seriously thought there were some pretty interesting discussions going on in those threads.

Yes, it is his board. Good job stating an obvious fact. And yeah he can do whatever he wants but if he doesn't want to discourage visitors from staying I'd suggest that he stops closing threads.

I don't really mind him closing threads, as long as he explains why he did. If we did something wrong in them, or if he'd rather such conversations be handled differently, cool, but he needs to tell us that. Just closing the thread without explaining why doesn't really help anything.

That's usually my stance too. It happens too often on message boards, and yeah, I wouldn't really argue if there was a reason given to it, even if I disagreed with it. I would have liked those two threads to have remained open, but I also would respect Dan's reasoning for closing them, if he gave one.
