I apologise if this article has already been posted.

If Kristal found a band he liked, he would keep putting it onstage, recording contract or no recording contract. A few years before "Throwing Copper" went to No. 1, an unknown band from York, Pa., showed up looking for a gig. Kristal's faith in Ed Kowalczyk and Live might have been the nudge the band needed.

CBGB timeline:

1989
Live is playing a regular gig at CBGB when a label swoops in and signs the band to a record contract.

that's pretty cool that they mentioned Live in the article.
considering how many bands have played there.
and that Live was mentioned in the timeline considering how many years the club was open and all the things that happened there.

I was gonna start a title "Live at CBGB's" when I heard the place was gonna shut it's doors and knowing Live played there early in their career. Thought there might be a few stories to share.
I doubt there is any audio or video of them from those days. Or pics for that matter.

Wish I could have got to CBGB's before it closed.
