When i first bought BOP i loved it. I'm not as keen on it now but i still think its better than V. Atleast lyrically. In all these posts about favorite albums i've noticed BOP near the bottom.

Why do ya'll dislike it?

I love BOP. I'm sure you'll here plenty of bitching from the 1995 Throwinn Copper greatest album fans, we always do on this board. Some people don't want change, they want all I Alone's or White discussions on the albums. Anything that sounds soft or pop is weak. We need Lakinis Juice on every song. Give me a break. BOP and SFBM is different and progressive IMOP, and good for them. Don't settle for the 90's alternative rock band, those fans will hopefully stop going to shows shouting for all TC songs.

You're such a fucking noob. How many times have we been over this very accusation? It's completely unfounded. Aside from perhaps a couple of random idiots, the majority of people here that don't like live's new work dislike it not because they've changed their sound, but because of the manner in which they have. I'm cool with bands changing. Hell, bands that don't change tend to bore the hell out of me. But change is not inherently good. You can't just point to an album and say "hey, it's different from their previous albums, so it's better than their previous albums". That's not how it works.

Ok, this is a statement you're gonna have to back up. First off, different from what? And progressive? In what sense? What musically progressive do they do on either of those albums? I really hope you can answer that question, but I'm pretty sure you can't.

BOP is my least favorite Live album. Let me offer two lyrics which are the epitome of why I don't like the album:

"Paint a mustache on the Mona Lisa."

"In the country The farms and the orchards swell With oranges and peaches"

I also agree with the criticism of the flat, overproduced sound.
