I'm sure there's a thread (or 50) like this at the old board, but since there are probably new members, let's do it again.

Ignore the obvious biases against V and BOP on this .. hey, it's my dream set list, heh.

The Dam at Otter Creek
Century
Deeper
Sparkle
Insomnia & the Hole in the Universe
Lightning Crashes
Nobody Knows
Rattlesnake
Shit Towne
We Walk in the Dream
Face and Ghost
I Alone
Pillar of Davidson
Overcome
White, Discussion

Encore 1

Vine Street
The Beauty of Grey
Hero of Love
Dance With You

Encore 2

Mother Earth is a Vicious Crowd
Gas Hed Goes West
--

OK, there are 21 songs on there; that might be pushing it. Still, this would be the greatest Live show EVER! (to me)

I'd break the show into two parts, with a brief intermission in between. The first half would start out heavy. Very driving. The ominous beginning of "top", the driving rhythms of "stage" and "sparkle". The show would open with a few energetic songs to get the crowd going. "iris" would be a transitional track. With some heavy parts and some softer parts, it fits perfectly as the song used to change the tone and feel of the show. "the beauty of grey" serves a similar purpose, in that while still somewhat forceful, there's also an tone of softness in it. "i alone" would then be the first of a series of romantic songs, which get progressively lighter and slower. The last of these would be "overcome", which would be immediately followed by "heropsychodreamer". The quick transition from the stillness of "overcome" to the power and speed of "heropsychodreamer" would jump-start crowd back into madness. This madness would then be harnessed, increased, and developed by the heavy sounds of "lakini's juice". The driving guitar riff would push the audience further into the state of mayhem "heropsychodreamer" sent them into, while the longer, more open tones of the song would ease them into a state of calm. With both of those things going on at once, at the end of the first half of the shoe, the audience would feel both fulfilled and needful.

The second half of the show would begin with "the dam at otter creek", which would both slowly ease the audience back into the atmosphere of performance and set the tone of the rest of the show. The next three songs would continue to portray a feeling of uneasiness. These three songs' darker emotions and their slow, steady flow would weave the audience in and out of every emotion imaginable. After the climactic conclusion to "gas hed goes west", only another sudden shift in mood could serve as an appropriate end to this show. "white, discussion" would end the show on a high energy, positive feel. This would be felt even moreso due to the drastic contrast from the songs preceeding it. This song could be stretched and drawn out, allowing plenty of room for improv solos and the like. When the song finally climaxed, the crowd would be at its highest point.

I put a lot of time and effort into this. I'm not really sure why. I enjoyed it, though, and I do like the way it came out.
