The false Pearl Jam ticket brought up a good point - what are the odds that Ed goes solo at some point? By doing all of the writing for the recent albums, has he already gone solo in a sense?

It wouldn't shock me if Ed went solo in some way, though I would be surprised if the band stopped all together. I think the concept of a solo career contradicts some of the things Ed writes about. I could see a temporary journey into a solo career, perhaps for personal exploration purposes.

Theres an Aussie rock band called Powderfinger and their lead singer, Bernard Fanning, released a great solo album to off load some of his material. Even though the band never actually broke up, it's been about 2 or 3 yrs since their last album. I recently heard that they're recording for a new album at the moment.
So my point is that it is possible for Ed to do a solo album to maybe off load some of his material then get the band together for a new kick arse album.
Who knows.

Leigh.

P.S. I'm sure most of you know Powderfinger, if not, the Aussies do.
