I'm going to see Live on Sept.29 here in Houston. I promise to come back with a good, honest, and unbiased review for you guys (and gals). Man, I can't believe that it's been four years since the last time I've seen Live. Well not counting the solo acoustic thing that Ed did about 2 years ago. There gonna be in a very good venue, the best in Houston in my opinion. So I expect a good show. I'll let ya know the outcome. hi.gif smile.gif

Okay. I promised you all a honest, unbiased review so here it goes. Live was fantastic! I really really mean that. This was the fourth and best Live show I've been to. I have to be honest. I was expecting a decent show but not a great show. Don't ask me why but I did. But boy did Live prove me wrong. wow.gif From beginning to end, the show was great and full of energy from the band and the fans. Live opened with Mystery which took me by surprise. I'm not a big fan of the new material but it's ok. It sounded great in concert though and the crowd seemed to enjoy it. I was so blown away by the show that I forgot the exact order of the songs but this is what they played, many many surprises!! For those of you who want to be surprised in the upcoming shows, dont read!!!!! Selling the drama, Iris, Shit Towne, Lightning Crashes, Rattlesnake, The Dolphin's Cry, Dance with you, Heaven, The River, Sophia, Mystery, Wings, Love Shines, I Walk the Line, and an encore of (in order) Lakini's Juice which was fucking crazy!!! Ed and the guys had the whole place jumping up and down especially at the end. I Alone was the same way and then White Discussion which was just a perfect end to the crazy concert. Not all of the songs were performed exactly like the studio recordings but who wants that? They still sounded great though and Ed's voice was in top form. Really the whole band including Adam brought their A-game. One funny part of the concert (I believe it was in the middle of White Discussion) Ed said that he read a review about the band which he says he rarely does. He said that the review said that "Live was growing old and obscure." Ed responded by saying " Well if you listened to some of the shit that they play on the radio nowadays, maybe growing obscure ain't so bad!" Or something to that effect hehe.gif It was so cool!! He asked the crowd in a sarcastic way to "Join Live down their dark lonely obscure road!" LOL Of course everyone did and Live rocked out the rest of WD. Live's still got it and they definitely gave everyone their money's worth. Anyway I've ramble on long enough. To those who will see Live in the next few days/weeks, you're in for quite a treat. Peace rockin.gif

Yeah, I think your going to have a good time! The Houston show wasn't very big at all. It was in a small venue and it was obviously not filled to it's full capacity. I would say maybe 700 people?, definitely no more than 1,000. So a very small show, but it was obvious that just about every one there was a hardcore Live fan. There was no advertising for the concert and they had that many people show up. Just about everyone knew all of the words to their songs, even the new ones. That was cool. That was another great part of the show. The crowd was cool with everyone drinking and having a good time singing along with the songs. No fighting, nobody throwing stuff, and nobody acting like dumbasses. Every Live concert I've been to has been like that. I think the fact that it was small concert made it as good as it was. Me and my friends had to kind of laugh at some of Ed's dance moves that were obviously meant for the ladies but he's still a great front man. laugh.gif Your from South Africa right? What city are you seeing them in??
